PET Scan results

Today we met with our oncologist to get the results from the PET Scan I had on Tuesday....

Well there is some good news and some bad news....

Let’s start with the GOOD! The original tumor and rectal area are looking very good from treatment. Over all everything has shrunk and responded well!

Now to the not so good, the scan showed a new spot on my first rib. Our oncologist said he was 90% sure it was cancerous but wanted to biopsy the area to be completely sure.

So we will leave for MD Anderson after church on Sunday, July 29th and go for CT scans  (chest and butt area lol) and meet with the doctor. There is a possiblity of having the biopsy done there, but if not, we will have it done here at home!

Our oncologist also wants us to visit UAB to research clinical trials within the next couple of weeks.

All in all great news to start with then a karate kick to the throat then back to hopefulness! So glad we don’t depend on man or ourselves for hope. We know God has this and while it is scary to think the cancer has spread, I know God is just writing it as a part of my story to Glorify Him!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!

Love y’all,

Robert
