The Christmas Season and More Update

Thank you so much for all of your prayers we made it through this busy season!  

I have been pretty sick the past couple of weeks and haven’t been able to update you. So lets get started... 

Starting almost 6 weeks ago or a little more I started having some severe pain and issues with my lower back and knee. We tried several things to help it and nothing seemed to do the trick so my oncologist wanted to do an MRI on my back to see if we could get some answers. The MRI results were I had two herniated disk and that was probably causing nerve complications with my knee. So my oncologist set an appointment to  meet with a Neurosurgeon to see what some options could be.   

Well here we go.... that appointment was this Thursday along with a follow appointment with my oncologist that afternoon. So that means we would be at the hospital all day! 

The appointments did not go well. We were in absolute shock by the news the Neurosurgeon would deliver. We found out that the cancer has spread to my spine, hip, and knee. This explains why I had been in a lot of pain and none of the pain medication would help it. 

I am going to UAB on Tuesday to see if I am a candidate for a clinical trial, but my oncologist said that if something does not improve, at the rate it is going, we will have less than a year. This was very hard to hear and even harder to tell you and my family! 

WE KNOW GOD IS THE AUTHORITY OVER MY LIFE AND THE TIMELINE.... not man!  

We are still trusting God through it and covet your prayers for strength, comfort, and continued healing.
