My Forever Valentine

Robert was admitted to the hospital on the evening of January 24th. We spent 8 days with him having test run, blood transfusions, and radiation. The radiation was to hopefully help his pain level go down. He had 5 days of radiation. The hope was to get his pain level under control and to be able to start a chemo pill, however, this wasn’t the case. His pain level has gone down but so had his counts (hemoglobin and rb). With his counts being low, chemo was not an option. We were told we would need to set up hospice before discharge from the hospital.

Hospice has provided great comfort care for Robert.

Robert left this earth at 11:48 P.M. on February 13th, where he was greeted with the words, “well done my good and faithful servant.” We cherish each moment we had together. Our hearts are heavy, but we know he is no longer hurting and heaven’s choir has never sounded so good.

We ask that you continue to keep the prayers coming for strength, peace and comfort.
